ORLANDO, Fla. -- An alliance of water associations is
making plans for
CONSERV96 as the nation's third exposition on water conservation. An
initial
CONSERV90 was conducted at Phoenix, Ariz., in 1990, and the latest of
the
series is planned for Jan. 4-8 at Orlando.
As a diverse educational forum for all aspects of water
conservation and
water use efficiency, CONSERV96 is the third of a triennial
conference series
sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American
Water
Works Association, and the American Water Resources Association.
Session
topics will include conservation technology, financing and rates,
integrated
resource planning, irrigation issues, land-use planning, public
policy,
watershed and river basin management, environmental impacts, regional
case
studies, along with urban and rural challenges.
The conference will bring together leading water conservation
experts, water
supply managers, state and federal government representatives,
educators,
consultants, and environmentalists. An exposition of products and
services
will accompany the conference.
